Big news. Yesterday, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar gave the Adminstration’s blessings for approval for the controversial project of wind turbines to be constructed offshore Massachusetts.
Well, Denmark has had offshore wind turbines for twenty years, and even ten years in the U.K. (O.K., the U.S. is a few years behind but we’re catching up.)
Good news. The downsized 450 MW project will provide power for 200,000 homes. If you missed the reports, click on the link for the complete story.
As Yogi Berra said “It ain’t over til it’s over.” This is great first step.
Congrats to the brave supporters!
