Well, here in the US, not too many people have been watching curling. And, why? We don’t know much about it.
I just learned that the stone weighs 42 pounds and can cost as much as $1,500. And, the sweepers (the folks with the brooms) can change the direction and speed of the stone.
A climate change bill is much like curling. We need to push the stone again, and get back on track. I also see the sweepers yelling at one another, but I don’t know the buzzwords or understand the sportsmanship.
It seems like climate legislation is quiet, but maybe we need to start yelling like the curlers. See link below.
To win, a team must get its stone closest to the center. Now that the snow is melting in D.C., maybe we can all learn from the Olympians.
